Modern Foliage was contacted this Spring (2022) by the stage manager of artist Summer Walker to provide Tropical plants for her performance at the Broccoli City Festival at RFK in Washington, DC.
She wanted to tell her story with the set design, and that included her deep love of plants.
It wasn’t our first time setting up plants for events at RFK, but instead of using them to make the VIP tent more chic and inviting, this time we’d be using the Houseplants front and center, on stage with the artist.
The stage was set up with dozens of large tropical plants, creating various ‘rooms’ for her to perform in.
The artist and her stage manager hired Modern Foliage again to provide dozens of plants for Summer Walker’s concert in Philadelphia a few weeks later.
So when it comes to live performances and events, using tropical plants really brings.
